The New Hampshire Hearth – Chris Griffin & Sacred Fire
Chris Griffin, a devoted steward of sacred community and transformative fire, has been a pillar of Sacred Fire for nearly two decades. As a Firekeeper, board chairman, and heart-centered leader, he fosters connection, warmth, and spiritual awakening through the ancient power of fire.
Chris’s journey blends deep technical expertise—honed as a medical device engineer—with a lifelong dedication to the sacred. His professional work contributed to life-saving FDA-approved technologies, yet his true calling extends beyond innovation into the realms of spirit and community. Guided by meditation, Plant Spirit Medicine, and indigenous wisdom, he discovered his path as a keeper of sacred fire, creating spaces where people gather to heal, celebrate, and remember their connection to the divine.
In 2019, Chris became a Sacred Fire Firekeeper, hosting monthly fires in Harvard, Massachusetts, and at his home hearth in Wilton, New Hampshire. These gatherings kindle joy, vulnerability, and authentic human connection. His leadership expanded in 2020 when he joined the Sacred Fire board, stepping into the role of chairman in 2022 to help guide the organization’s global mission.
A highlight of his service is the annual Fire Speaks event at Mount Monadnock, where the living spirit of fire offers wisdom to those who listen. Through ceremony, storytelling, and quiet reverence, Chris facilitates profound encounters with the elemental forces that shape our lives.
Rooted in family, community, and the land, Chris Griffin’s work is a testament to service—bridging the practical and the sacred, tending the flames that illuminate our shared humanity.
“Fire calls us to remember—ourselves, each other, and the unseen threads that weave us together.” —Chris Griffin
