Each time Grandfather Fire calls him into the ether, Don David endures intense physical strain as his temperature rises and he enters a deep trance-like state. This powerful process comes with great risk, as he channels sacred wisdom from Divine to share with others.
The Firekeeping Retreat is an annual gathering for initiated Firekeepers from around the world to reconnect with their sacred calling, deepen their relationship with Grandfather Fire, and renew their commitment to service. Held in locations across the globe, these retreats provide an opportunity for heart-centered community, spiritual guidance, and ceremonial renewal. Led by senior Firekeepers and elders, including Don David Wiley, Firekeeping Retreats offer sacred time to reflect, learn, and strengthen the path of Firekeeping. Whether you’ve been serving for years or have recently been initiated, this retreat is a vital space to nourish your heart, support your growth, and walk forward with renewed clarity and purpose.
Mentoring Calls - As part of his sacred service, Don David Wiley offers monthly and bi-weekly volunteer mentoring to those leading organizations and spiritual endeavors ignited by Grandfather Fire—such as Sacred Fire's ED & Firekeeping, and the Tsantawu Men’s Council. Despite his limited time, Don David’s dedication ensures these offerings remain aligned with Grandfather’s guidance, continuing to grow and reach those who feel the call of Fire. By supporting key leaders and collaborators like Annie King and Sacred Fire’s Executive Director, he helps anchor a living legacy of ancestral wisdom, connection, and transformation—quietly sustaining the path of spiritual reconnection through love, service, and the wisdom of Fire.
