Preferably, once a year, Sacred Fire Firekeepers from around the world gather to reconnect, recharge, and deepen their sacred service. This year, the Firekeeper Retreat will take place at the Blue Deer Center in the majestic Catskill Mountains of New York—ancestral land of the Haudenosaunee(Iroquois) people.

This is a time for initiated Firekeepers to come together as a living, growing community—to share experiences, renew their commitment to Grandfather Fire, and support one another in the ongoing path of tending the sacred Fire.

A Gathering of Fire, Heart, and Service.

Being a Firekeeper is not just a role—it is a lifelong relationship with Fire, community, and purpose. The Firekeeper Retreat offers space for reflection, learning, laughter, and heart-centered ceremony. It is a time to reconnect with the sacred calling that brought eachFirekeeper to this path.

Led by Don David Wiley, sacred elder and founder of Sacred Fire, and Sylvia Edwards, Sacred Fire’s Firekeeping Director, the retreat includes:

• Deep ceremonial work with Grandfather Fire
• Dialogue, storytelling, and spiritual teaching
• Community sharing and peer support
• Renewal of purpose, connection, and vision

This gathering affirms and strengthens the web of Firekeepers worldwide who are helping communities remember the wisdom of heart, tradition, and sacred relationship.
